セント・ポールズでの移民の暮らしぶりやブルーズ・ダンスなど、音楽にも直結した内容。
Endless Pressure is a first-hand account of West Indian lifestyles in a provincial Bristish city. Ken Pryce, himself a West Indian, is a sociologist who spent four years living and working with the immigrant community in Bristol.
Spotlighting the Jamaican community, who form the majority of Bristol West Indians, Ken Pryce describes the different ways in which immigrants react to the strains and frustrations of life in an alien culture, in an outstanding work of empirical sociology.
