Folkdevils
Formed in the South West of the UK by Aspects founder members, Ryan Jarrett (Specify) and Ian Merchant (El Eye), Folkdevils are a cabal of outsiders just looking for some shelter and warm milk.
Folkdevils aint a label (really), we certainly aint a band (yet) sheeit! Im not even sure how many of us there really are! However confusing our membership becomes our mission is simple; to release songs with integrity and soul ignorant of trends or genre. Thats it, honest.

Among the gang those with birth certificates include:
Marshy a.k.a. Steeple Jack a.k.a. James Blonde, a sometime open mic botherer, who mistakenly sold his soul to an inebriated mariner during an ill advised poker game. He now he writes songs of tragedy in the key of drunk.
Dizrali, this multi talented singer/rhymer/musician is sure to wise up by the time you read this and bugger off to earn the big bucks on X-factor. If he stays though you can expect to hear Jeff Buckleys harmonics channelled through Pharaoh Monchs flow.
Ian Merchant a.k.a. El Eye a.k.a. The Dirty Merchant, Weather beaten gunslinger who after over ten years sniping your towns rap sheriff has turned his back on verbal duelling. Nowadays he can be found out on the plane tending to his flock and writing songs for God, Junkies and ladies of the evening.
Ryan Jarrett a.k.a. Specify, widely acknowledged as one of the worlds most aggressive lovers, RJ has also taken enough time out of the bedroom to form a reputation for original beat making. Every gang needs a leader, a guy with the intelligence and integrity to hide the switchblade and bring the condoms. Failing that the oldest gets to be in charge.
THE OTHERS, We are also haunted by an ever expanding number of collaborators including Aspects care worker 7Stu7 diligently working the boards plucking the strings and tweaking the nipples. Stacy, Voice of and angel and blood alcohol content of Oliver Reed. Roscoe Rockwell recently liberated from the carnival to bust verses for us The list continues.
