The Arts Freedom Singers / The 3J's
Arts Opportunity TheatreのZion Bandから派生した女性コーラス・グループ、The Arts Freedom Singers。WOMADなどブリストルに所縁の深いPeter Gabrielのヒット「Sledgehammer」のMVに出演している。ちなみにこのヴィデオは、『Shawn The Sheep』や『Wallace & Gromit』などで知られる、ブリストルのAardman Animationsがストップモーション・アニメを担当している。
Jackie JacksonはSmith & Mightyの初期シングルで知られるシンガー。Jessica GeorgeもSmith & Mighty『Bass Is Maternal』に参加。3J'sとしては、Rudy Leeのアルバム『Get Wise』や、TalismanのDesmond Taylorのソロ・アルバム『Raggafunkin』(Devan名義)などにも参加している。The Arts Freedom Singers who were also called 3J Harmony or The 3J's, consisting of Jacqui Wilson, Jackie Jackson, Jessica George and Jendayi Serwah, provided the backing vocals for Hazel O'Connor's 1986 single 'Fighting Back'. It was tied in with a TV series of the same name which featured many familiar faces, as did Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer video.
